A mixed bag that gets a significant upgrade thanks in part to its gorgeous artist renditions of Venom and his symbiote。 “Separation Anxiety” and the four part arc with Scarlet Spider are great, as is the Uncanny Origins issue, but “Carnage Unleashed” (the only arc that has an appearance by the red suited psychopath despite this Epic Collection’s title) is so 90s it hurts。 The less said about the Sin Eater arc the better but for all of the many story faults, every artist featured really does incr A mixed bag that gets a significant upgrade thanks in part to its gorgeous artist renditions of Venom and his symbiote。 “Separation Anxiety” and the four part arc with Scarlet Spider are great, as is the Uncanny Origins issue, but “Carnage Unleashed” (the only arc that has an appearance by the red suited psychopath despite this Epic Collection’s title) is so 90s it hurts。 The less said about the Sin Eater arc the better but for all of the many story faults, every artist featured really does incredible work with their drawings of Venom, his powers and those fiendish tendrils。 Turn off your brain, soak in the art and enjoy。 。。。more

Not exactly the best run of Venom stories but entertaining enough with some decent art at least, but why is this volume 5? What happened to volume 3 and 4?
